Team 17 Digital catalog goes on sale, for Steam on PC. The sale boasts discounts as high as 80%, and is scheduled to run until October 21st.
Team 17 games run the gambit from adventure games to multiplayer shooters. They have rouge-likes, strategy games, and more under their belt, and here at Scuttle Gamez we’ll be looking at some of our favorites!
Blasphemous:
One of Team 17’s most recent releases, Blasphemous is riding a nice ‘Mostly Positive’ review status on Steam, and is one of the better rogue-likes out this quarter.
Players in Blasphemous will take on the role of the Penitent One, a grizzled survivor of a devastating tragedy. That won’t stop our ‘Hero’ though, as the land has fallen under a dark curse and you might just be the only one who can save it.
Blasphemous is a beautiful game, dark, but beautiful. The game’s pixel and hand drawn style is great for making the atmosphere a notch above similar games in the genre, and the play is hard, fast, and full of action and complexity.
We don’t recommend Blasphemous for casual gamers. It can be a tough game to get into, and an even harder one to beat. Those willing to put up with repeated deaths and failures, and who love to bite into a good challenge, will find a fine home in Blasphemous.
Hell Let Loose:
Hell Let Loose is a team based World War II shooter game. With nearly 4k reviews of ‘Mostly Positive’ on Steam, it’s seen a run of popular viewership on Twitch, and has been a fan favorite as of late in the genre.
The game’s major appeal is the realistic gameplay, the many guns and styles of play, and the massive number of players to do battle with in a given match. Each game can host up to 100 players, 50 per-team. Teams of soldiers will set out to take enemy supply lines, and win the war. That’s not easy though, as you’ll end up against opponents with tanks, heavy artillery, and can quickly find yourself outgunned and surrounded.
Hell Let Loose is not a game for everyone, but it will appeal greatly for lovers of war simulators and team based shooters. Get in there and win that war soldier!
Worms:
Worms is an old classic that most PC gamers from the 90’s will remember. Well, it’s still around and Team 17 has multiple editions and DLC available for purchase on sale right now.
Worms is a turn based strategy and fighting game featuring, well, worms. That’s not all though, as players will find a plethora of cool weapons and abilities to try to take out opponents and win the game.
Of the many Worms games available, Worms Revolution is the one we recommend most. Revolution is the 2012 update of the classic format. It brings the older 2d game into the world of 3d gaming, and offers a wide variety of gameplay updates and user experience improvements.
While Revolution has a single player campaign to enjoy, the real fun to be had in most Worms games is in its multiplayer matches. It’s a game that is best enjoyed with a group of friends joking over Discord, and that’s the way in which we think players will get the most from it.
The verdict:
Team 17 Digital has a lot of good games to play and enjoy. They don’t have any major hitters in our opinion, but most of their catalogue will make for a good time. At great prices, now is a good time to give one or two of their games a try.
